mein or meine?
der / das → mein · die / plural → meine
Examples
- Das ist mein Bruder. — That is my brother.
- Das ist meine Mutter. — That is my mother.
Remember: Same pattern as ein / eine — you already know it.
Watch out: Ich habe einen Bruder — after haben, der becomes einen.
Builds on Indefinite article — ein/eine/kein and Sein & haben.

- You: Das ist mein Bruder. Er heißt Omar. — That is my brother. His name is Omar.
- Mia: Wohnt er auch hier? — Does he live here too?
- You: Nein, er wohnt in Köln. — No, he lives in Köln.
- Mia: Hast du auch eine Schwester? — Do you have a sister too?
